Operator Job Description

 

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

1. operate machinery in a safe and responsible manner.

2. take care of machinery, giving them required maintenance.

3. cooperate fully with foreman on each job and with supervisors.

 

Types of machines you will be operating: Wheel loader, Backhoes, Skid loaders, Tampers, Ballast regulators, Tie handlers, Cranes, Petty bones, Dozers, Sky track lift. Training will be given on all machines before you will be released to operate said machine.

 

Other important responsibilities of this position include: Check fluids daily on each machine to be operated before starting and operating said machine. Grease entire machine daily before starting and operating said machine. Fill fuel tank at the end of each day. Be willing to accept any assignment, whether operating a machine or, if necessary, doing manual labor so each job is done to the highest quality standard and in the shortest span of time.

 

In addition to the above, the responsibilities of this position include such other duties, tasks and activities as are customarily and traditionally associated with this position, or that may be assigned to this position from time to time.

This position is full time and will be incorporated with other job assignments.
